“Mambu” abbreviated from Kalimambu means ‘thank you’ in Shangaan; a widely spoken language in Southern Africa.

Founded years ago by Francoise de Oliveira and Dominic McCabe, a husband and wife collaboration both with fine arts and commercial backgrounds, this company now comprises of a solid and dedicated team of 29 craftpersons.

As a team, Mambu has a strong sense of family, with a quest for equality and fairness in all that they produce.

Ostrich shell is pivotal to Mambu and their unique range of hand-crafted jewellery is strikingly distinct.

Their designs combine the mystery of African traditions with the sophistication European style.

Interestingly, there are never two identical ostrich eggs; like a fingerprint, each shell is unique in its texture, shape and colour.
