Rosie Phipps has been painting since she was a young girl. She matriculated in Art and Art History, and her influential teachers included Mrs Bullock (Auckland Park School), Miss Harmson and Miss Waldie (Parktown Girls High School), both in Johannesburg South Africa where she was brought up. Rosie has lived in England since 1969 and has been living in Oxford from 1977. Her friend the sculptor John Buckley has provided much encouragement and guidance.
Rosie paints a variety of subject matter, but recently she has been working on a series of small landscapes. She loves travelling and painting ‘en plein air’, capturing the lines, angles and punctuating features of nature and the countryside around her.
Rosie is the Founder of the Oxford Professional Education Group and OxfordLearning Lab. She has also written books on marketing and business start-ups, local history and cycling safety. Rosie is a member of Writers in Oxford, the Oxford Art Society and the LiterArties.
