Description
This is a direct bronze casting of a fragmenting, decaying elephant tusk. It symbolises the precarious situation elephant populations are facing in Africa and Asia currently. Loss of habitat through climate change, human/wildlife conflict and poaching are contributing to a rapid decline in numbers. Suzanne has been using the iconic tusk as a symbolic metaphor to explore these issues.
