Teresa Allen

Teresa, known simply as T, is a pastel artist specialising in safari wildlife and equestrian art. After being made redundant at the end of 2019, she rediscovered her ambition to become a professional artist. Despite a 16-year absence from art, she developed a love for using pastels, enabling her to capture her passion for wildlife encounters on paper. Her extensive adventures observing animals in their natural habitat have become a great source of inspiration for her artwork.

T creates compositions that play with light or enhance particular characteristics, from textures in the skin or fur to the expressive magnetism of the eyes. Her work showcases the animal subject in all its glory, with deeper meanings and life lessons behind each piece to provide an extra layer of connection to the viewer.

She is an Art Ambassador for Derwent and has been shortlisted twice in the Explorers for Extinction ‘Sketch for Survival’ competition, where her artwork was exhibited (and sold) at the Gallery@Oxo in London. T’s work has also been shortlisted at the Horse in Art Exhibition. She has been featured in BBC Wildlife magazine, Travel Africa magazine Buckinghamshire and Berkshire Living magazine and Oxfordshire Living magazine.

She says of her work; – “I’m drawn to creatively share my experiences and to take people on a journey of exploration alongside me.”
