Thanks so much for having me today. I was not feeling a hundred per cent this morning and wasn’t sure I wanted to go out. But your shows and location had been described so favourably I hoped it would be a nice antidote for a very trying week. And I was so pleasantly surprised. You, yourself, were such a gracious and welcoming host, I felt immediately at ease. I really wasn’t expecting to be so moved by an exhibition, but from the moment we drove down and the valley opened up before us and your house came into view, I felt a great peace of mind. As I said as we were leaving: in this time of huge department stores offering homogenised home furnishings, it was all but overwhelming to visit your collection of artists’ work. To be in the presence of such a wealth of human creative expression was so uplifting an experience. I am very glad to have visited and was inspired by your passion bringing such beautiful, unique pieces together. I actually got home from yours and got over massive creative block and managed to make some real progress on my latest project so I’m very pleased about that. I look forward to attending again in future.
