This blousy oil painting by Mary-Jane Alexander is called “Strong Breeze” and it will be what many will long for next week as the temperatures climb to African proportions. But it is cool in our gallery and we are happy to provide glasses of iced water for those with the time to sit in the shade in the garden too. We have had a lovely start to this exhibition and the comments have been extremely favourable with phrases like “fresh”, “pretty”, “summery” and “lots of new work” heard often which is just what we were aiming for.
