“This Moment” belongs to Karen Laurence-Rowe – the worthy 2023 overall winner of the David Shepherd Wildlife of the Year competition held at the Mall Galleries in London on 11 September. This is the second time Karen has won this prestigious award, and it is a ringing endorsement not only of her superlative painting but also her passionate commitment to Africa, nature, wildlife and conservation.
On the back of this major award, we are thrilled to have seven original oil paintings by Karen on this exhibition. They are all available to view and purchase off our website and we are expecting a significant amount of online interest. But we do urge you to visit the gallery this month and see them in the flesh if you can.
As well as magnificent paintings, there is a wide array of original sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and craft available on show, with many seasonal delights. The exhibition is open daily, 10am to 4pm, from 18th November to 1st December.
There are also a few spaces left for our ‘Meet the Artist’ event from 12-2 on Friday 17th November with acclaimed printmaker Polly Hosp, so please email directly to [email protected] if you would like to attend. As the talk will be in the gallery, all attendees will be welcome to preview the exhibition before its opening the next day.
