“Burning Bright” is a large and vivid show of impressive sculptures and paintings as well as soft textiles, muted glass, vibrant ceramics, functional baskets and unusual jewellery. The common link is every piece is original and created by our selected artists, each with a link to Africa.
Nature and conservation are a constant theme in the gallery with many of the artists committed environmentalists. Wildlife, birds, and flora feature in much of the work, and organic materials such as wood, clay, cotton, stone and silver all add to the tactile essence of the work on show.
