We are almost ready! The gallery is hung and the outdoor sculptures are being placed in position today. And most importantly, we are forecast sunshine and warmth for the weekend – guaranteeing a true African welcome!
The featured painting in this newsletter is by an artist new to us who I met on my travels earlier this year. Di Smith is a contemplative artist who has recently moved to Prince Albert and is relishing the stark beauty of the Karoo as her new landscape inspiration. We have an inaugural collection of seven considered paintings by Di on this exhibition and they are also available to view online by clicking on her name.
By chance, our summer exhibition this year coincides with Bucks Art Weeks. Whilst we are not officially part of the programme, we know many of you will be out viewing the array of art available in the county, so urge you to drop in on us too. Likewise, we will encourage our visitors to see more of what’s on locally and for ease of reference have included a link here to Bucks Art Weeks.
Most of the new work is now on our website www.fillingdon.com but there is always more being added. One can purchase directly online at any stage – we are great for gifts and very happy to pack and post.
Please forward this invitation to anyone you think may like what we do but not yet know of us, and email [email protected] if you have any enquiries. We look forward to seeing you this month.
