Description
“I don’t want to ever imagine a time when there aren’t any rhinos living in the wild. Having witnessed the results of poaching first-hand, I created this piece to celebrate the magnificence of these pre-historic looking mammals. It was a pleasure to watch and photograph this female rhino in South Africa in 2017 and I’ve loved bringing her to life on paper. Those horns might be a downfall for the species but I wanted them to be the centre of attention in my artwork as they represent ‘a symbol of hope’ that the future world will recognise where they truly belong.”
This is a powerful and confronting image of a mighty white rhino, double mounted with a gutter mount and framed with UV99% conservation glass.
