Walking in De Hoop Nature Reserve in the Cape recently, I observed that the myriad of local Fynbos varieties grew like a ‘tapestry beneath our feet’ – and this exhibition was born. It is thus here in UK too, as nature bursts into summer and shades run riot for a short and sensational season. Reflecting that frenzy, this show is a flamboyant cocktail of colour, with numerous new paintings as well as unusual jewellery, impressive sculpture and stylish ceramics.
