The West Wycombe Art Group chose Fillingdon Farm as the venue for their first outdoor painting class of the season this month. A beautiful windless, warmish spring evening presented itself, and a dozen or so talented local artists enjoyed the panoramic views as well as tea and biscuits and a good chat! The nearby bluebell woods in full bloom; the rolling wheat fields; the apple trees laden thick with blossom and even the derelict Ford tractor proved to be popular subject matter for their pencils, pastels and paints. But the star of the show was our Springer Spaniel who was photographed, pampered and petted and looks set to feature in many doggy portraits!
