Against a backdrop of recent terrible events, here’s a feel-good story to warm hearts. We have a collection of beautiful large garden pots by the talented Yogi de Beer at the gallery and a few evenings ago our beautiful Springer spaniel, with her highly sensitive nose, trotted round and round them, sniffing and searching. Upon inspection, we found a young Tawny owl had become lodged and was unable to free itself. Thanks to Fina’s persistent interest, we were able to locate the baby who, apart from a few ruffled feathers, appeared unscathed. We placed it in a basket high in the branches of a cherry tree, and as night fell we heard the distinctive to-wit to-whoo of both parents swooping in. By dawn it was happily gone, although it does come back to visit periodically at dusk. I like to think that having been recently rescued herself, Fina passed on the kindness to a fellow creature. And now the stunning stoneware urns have another tale to tell when we open next month.
Lovely and heart-warming story!
What a lovely story.
I think you are right……..animals are wonderful creatures and Fina was helping the baby owl.xx
Beautiful.
Animals never cease to amaze us, they have instincts we have lost
So happy Fina is home and safe and she has another friend
What a ‘woo’ of a story!! And another happy ending! R x
