Description
A soft “barely there” original oil painting by classically trained artist Mary-Jane Alexander, who was born in Zimbabwe, but now lives in UK and spends a lot of time in Italy. Mary-Jane excels at still-life and her use of light and thick application of paint highlights her classical training. On painting roses she says:-
Roses are terribly difficult to paint; they are relatively formless… it’s their colour and perfume that makes them memorable…..”
