Description
A powerful small drawing in Derwent Art Pastel Pencils by conservation artist Martin Aveling who won the Environmental Artivism category at the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Awards (WAY) in London in 2024. Martin is a signature member of ‘Artists for Conservation’ and he coined the phrase ‘wildlife artivism’ to encourage stronger calls to actions in the creative output of working wildlife artists.
“This image of a dung beetle rolling the earth is a metaphor for climate breakdown, posing the question of is it too late to save this place we call home?”
