Titled “Thinking of Africa”, this atmospheric large oil painting by talented artist Mary-Jane Alexander is indeed what I was doing as I travelled there last month to seek new and beautiful work to bring to the gallery. Sourcing the work is always a pleasure but getting it back, with the recent conflict and resulting surge in costs, might be more painful. But for the sake of the artists, we are going ahead and can confirm that we will open in June.
