Out walking our dog recently on a gorgeous sunlit late spring evening, I took this photograph from the top of our field across the Chiltern Hills. The words of the Beatles song kept lilting through my mind as I gazed upon the distant road winding its way through the green fields of wheat. And I thought of my boxes en route from Africa. Many had already travelled by road from Johannesburg and Durban to join their brethren in the Cape, before all being flown over together to London and then driven the final journey to Fillingdon Fine Art gallery here in our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is indeed a long and winding road for each and every piece of art, but thankfully it always leads them here, leads them to my door.
