Description
“iHlosi – the Ndebele word for Cheetah – is a tribute to the elegance, vulnerability, and quiet strength of the world’s fastest land animal. Although the cheetah is the smallest of Africa’s big cats, it carries an extraordinary presence shaped by agility, precision, and resilience. Through this portrait, I wanted to capture both its grace and its fragility, drawing attention to a species that is increasingly threatened in the wild. Using soft monochrome tones and fine detail, the work reflects my fascination with the beauty of African wildlife while also encouraging a deeper awareness of the need to protect these remarkable animals and the landscapes they call home.”
