It is always a pleasure to announce new exhibition dates. The gallery will be physically open this summer from Saturday 10th to Friday 23rd June inclusive. It will be an exciting and varied show with plenty of unseen work fresh from our recent foray to Africa.
The featured paintings in this newsletter are by a long-standing and favourite artist of the gallery, Zimbabwean-born Mary-Jane Alexander. Her exceptional figure drawing is exemplified in her new collection of six female nudes. And her riotous love of colour exudes in this pair of still-life panels, all of which are available now to view by clicking on her name.
By chance, our summer exhibition this year coincides with Bucks Art Weeks. Whilst we are not officially part of the programme, we know many will be out viewing the array of art available in the county, so urge you to drop in on us too. Likewise, we will encourage our visitors to see more of what’s on locally and for ease of reference have included a link here to Bucks Art Weeks.
Our website www.fillingdon.com is constantly being updated with craft as well as art, and one can purchase directly online at any stage – we are great for gifts and very happy to pack and post.
We will be back in touch with more details as they unfurl. In the meantime, best wishes for a happy and sunny Easter and please email [email protected] if you have any enquiries.
