Rosie Smith is a UK-based wildlife and conservation artist known for her expressive work in watercolour and oils. Her paintings are inspired by a deep connection to the natural world, capturing both the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife.
“African wildlife has long been one of the biggest inspirations behind my work. I’ve always felt deeply connected to endangered species and the conservation stories surrounding them, particularly elephants, big cats and more unusual species in African wildlife. My work is rooted in wildlife conservation and emotional connection, and I have supported conservation causes through organisations including Helping Rhinos, Explorers Against Extinction and projects connected with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. Through expressive painting, I aim to celebrate the beauty and spirit of wildlife while helping encourage awareness and protection of the natural world.”
Rosie has been a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year and Sketch for Survival, highlighting her commitment to using art as a voice for conservation. Alongside her studio practice, she regularly exhibits in galleries and shows nationwide. Rosie also runs various art clubs and delivers workshops across the UK, sharing her skills and encouraging others to connect with nature through creativity.
