Yala is an award-winning ethical African jewellery range created by Kenyan-born Audrey Migot-Adholla, who named the brand after the town where her grandmother lived.
Now living in UK, Audrey works directly with over 150 artisans in Kenya, ensuring they enjoy fair wages, safe and healthy work environments, and real recognition for their talent. She is passionate about ensuring true transparency across the production process, and a genuine connection between the people who create Yala jewellery and their customers.
The jewellery is inspired by modern Africa, combining traditional craft with 21st century values. All the raw materials are sourced ethically, with a focus on recycled elements. Thus Yala is designed with intention, empowering artisans and protecting our planet.
Audrey only works with Kenyan makers, models, photographers and stylists – a collective of a whole community of talented African artisans and creatives who represent the country’s diversity and potential.
Your purchase directly empowers women of the Maasai tribe and fellow Kenyan artisans who have contributed to the design, creation, and delivery of your jewellery.
