Lauren Jarvis was the Association of Arts and Ceramics South Africa’s potter of the month in June 2019. She started her career as a graphic designer in the music industry. While putting her career on hold to become a stay at home mom to three children she painted for a hobby.

She was introduced to ceramics about in 2018 after joining The Pottery Studio in Bryanston, where the late Colleen Lehmkuhl took her under her wing and pushed and inspired her.

Lauren draws inspiration from flowers, insects and nature in general, which she paints with meticulous detail. Her work is non-uniform, free and fun.
