Gillian Fuller

In its present form, Gillian Fuller The Brand, started when Gillian graduated with a Fine Art degree from Newcastle University, UK, having specialised in textile design.

After moving to South Africa, she became aware of the local skill of beading. She therefore progressed from textile design to beadwork design, and a highly successful combination ensued.

The inspiration for her designs comes mainly from the environment, particularly an urban landscape where architectural shapes suggest a myriad of ideas. Her interest in the Bauhaus and Art Deco, as well as African design, are also contributing factors.

The result is a range of beaded jewellery, mostly bracelets, in various sizes, as well as neck pieces and more recently, prints of her designs.
