O Claysions

O Claysions was started by Kathy and Linda in South Africa, who teamed up with a third partner and together they brought deep and complimentary skills as potters, artists, designers, and teachers to the business. They have since employed two other women full time as well as a part time staff member.

“We love what we do; drawing on our many years of collective experience in hand building in clay to create an original and beautiful range of products.

We make our product from scratch, using paper porcelain, hand building and firing to make feather light, original creations that are durable, functional, and appealing. Our pieces often have a botanical theme as we draw inspiration from the beauty of the Western Cape.

Our vision is to create objects of beauty and value while also contributing to the development of our surrounding communities through training and employment opportunities.”
