Lindy Cullen

Lindy Cullen is a talented artist who was born in Zimbabwe. She went on to complete a Diploma with distinction in watercolour painting at London Art College. Lindy’s approach to art is to paint without sketching. This technique allows her to infuse her paintings with a sense of spontaneity and fluidity, enabling her to depict the essence and vitality of her subject in a remarkably lifelike manner.

Lindy possesses an unwavering passion for animals, particularly African wildlife. Her deep connection with these majestic creatures serves as a profound inspiration for her artwork. Through her painting, Lindy endeavours to capture the unique humour and distinct character of the animals she portrays.

She is an ardent advocate for the conservation of endangered species and a passionate supporter of animal welfare. She strongly believes in the need to protect and preserve the natural habitats of African wildlife, as well as raise awareness about the challenges they face. Through her art, Lindy endeavours to instil a sense of awe and reverence for nature, inviting viewers to develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty and fragility of the animal kingdom.

In 2020, Lindy had a solo exhibition to raise funds for Tikki Hywood Foundation in Zimbabwe who do amazing work with lesser-known endangered species such as Pangolins. In 2021 and 2023 she was a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year competition. Her art is a testament to her dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to preserving the beauty and diversity of African wildlife for generations.
