Sophie Harden

Sophie is a professional artist based in Northamptonshire. Sophie’s subjects hail from her passion and love for animals, both domestic and wild. With travel in her blood, each trip revolves around the animals she can discover, with regular trips to Africa to inspire her work.

Her contemporary and fluid artistic technique allows movement to flood each painting, from broad, explosive energy to small brushstrokes, which all capture a moment in time.

Often using a contrast of white oil on bright background colours, or a limited vibrant palette, Sophie works to accentuate the adaptation of light, making the viewer perceive the subject matter from often just small marks and strokes of paint.

Sophie has exhibited as a solo artist in the Osborne Studio Gallery, London; the Mall Galleries as a finalist for the Wildlife Artist of the Year, and for consecutive years for Art for Youth. She also hosts her own private exhibitions across the UK and had her debut exhibition in Kenya 2024.
