Sue Bell

Born in Zimbabwe, Sue finished high school at Port Shepstone High in South Africa where she won the 1984 Matric Art Prize. Whilst working for a Safari company in Harare, specialising in Birding Tours, Sue’s skills came to the fore when she started to illustrate the company’s Birding Magazine.

Sue’s full-time painting career began in 1998 and her paintings now grace homes all over the world. Sue has also spent time helping at an Endangered Animal Sanctuary in Harare and was recently invited by John Varty (film maker, big cat expert) to Londolozi and Tiger Canyons in South Africa on an Art Escape.

The hallmark of Sue’s work is her attention to detail, with delicate brushstrokes and a brilliant use of colour. Sue is equally at home with various media including watercolours, pastels, oils and acrylics and has exhibited her paintings internationally and regionally.

Sue has also helped numerous Charities in Zimbabwe with fund raising and her art. One of her most high-profile exposures recently was a showing of her work at the American Embassy in Harare.
