Corrie Hook is an established ceramic artist in her own right, as well as a pottery teacher in Durban, KZN.
Irregular shape and natural form is her signature, and her individual jugs, plates and platters are reassuringly non-uniform and unique.
She often uses fynbos and assorted plant material to add texture and inspire her decoration, as well as sometimes using her ceramics as mini canvases upon which to paint small landscape scenes.
Her appealing colour palette is soft and delicate, but her final glazed pieces are designed to be practical and fully functional.
