“Graduating with a Fine Arts (Graphic Design) degree in 1982, I subsequently worked as an illustrator and book designer.

In 2000 I started working with clay for the first time and felt an instant connection, in the process regaining a sense of self and my deeper creativity. I hand-build, cast and throw in porcelain and am always captivated by the universal, nurturing ‘bowl’ shape.

My inspiration is varied, from ancient cultures and artefacts, to the modern porcelain masters.

I seek to impart a quiet, classic and ethereal beauty to my work and continue to be intrigued by the infinite possibilities of the medium and enthralled by its trans-formative qualities.”
