Margot obtained her National Diploma in Ceramic Design at the Pretoria Technicon in 1986.
10 years later, she returned full-time to pottery and opened her own studio in 1996.
Margot works mainly in stoneware combined with strong, bright colours. Her individual style embraces a distinctly African theme.
She draws her inspiration from indigenous plants and textures, manifesting in vibrantly unique ceramic works of art.
Shape and design are particularly important to her.
Margot is an award-winning exhibitor on Regional and National exhibitions organized by the Ceramics SA, as well as a participant on various group exhibitions and solo exhibitions. In early 2022 she had a prominent solo show at the Grande Provence wine estate in Franschhoek at the Cape.
