Su Wolf has been many things in her life – a Fine Art student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg; a wanderer and traveller; art director of House and Leisure magazine; decor buyer at Weylandts Homestore; an interior designer and a purveyor of fine crafts at markets and to shops around South Africa.
Now Su is settled in the delightful, river-side village of Stanford close to the southern tip of Africa. “The beautiful city of Cape Town is two hours away so one can get an urban top-up anytime one needs some inspiration.”
Su paints as close to full time as she can, continually experimenting with new mediums and exploring different styles. Her love of life and vibrancy shows through her bright and colourful work.
“I’ve given up trying to work out what it is I actually ‘do’ – painting, sewing, card-making, silk screening, beading – I simply love them all! Art and craft have always been my passions.”
A recent trip to Japan enthralled and inspired Su in her latest work.
